Lethbridge police say 26 people were arrested after officers executed more than 100 outstanding warrants as part of a targeted enforcement initiative. The operation took place in the downtown core, with assistance from the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods unit, as part of ongoing efforts to address crime and disorder. During the initiative, officers observed suspected drug trafficking activity in Galt Gardens. Police say a man who had been in contact with a suspect showed signs of a drug overdose. Officers administered naloxone and provided medical assistance until EMS arrived. The man was later medically cleared. Police arrested a 55-year-old woman and seized fentanyl packaged for street-level sales, other controlled substances, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Patricia Ann Healy is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of the proceeds of crime. Police say Healy was also wanted on multiple outstanding warrants. Following a judicial interim release hearing, she was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
