Calgary Underground Film Festival director Brenda Lieberman says fans of the festival have learned to expect the unexpected. “We’re looking for films that have a twist or a quirk or that push boundaries in some form or another,” Lieberman told CTV News. Lieberman helps curate the festival and is a fan of several films screening between April 16 and 26, including The Fox, featuring Oscar winner Olivia Colman as a talking fox, and Tracy and Martina: Goin’ Out West. “It’s kind of like a mockumentary about their road trip tour and ending up in Calgary so, we thought it would be a nice fit,” Lieberman said.
