A Calgary man is facing charges after allegedly breaching the conditions of his bail within two days of his release. Sage Carson Elias Blaze Youngman, 20, was taken into custody in August in connection with a robbery at a liquor store. He allegedly had a loaded .22-caliber lever-action rifle in his possession when arrested. Youngman was released from custody on Oct. 5, but had several court-ordered conditions he had to adhere to — including a 24-hour curfew and a weapons prohibition. Police say within 48 hours, on Oct. 7, members of the offender management team observed Youngman downtown — a breach of his curfew. He was taken into custody, at which time police say the following items were seized: As a result, Youngman is facing 11 additional charges. “Our officers continue to dedicate a significant amount of time to monitoring high-risk individuals as we try and ensure they do not breach their conditions or reoffend, and that we intervene before they have the opportunity to victimize Calgarians,” said Staff Sgt. Kerry Smith in a news release. Youngman is scheduled to appear in court next on Nov. 6.
