Goaltender Connor Ingram has announced his retirement from hockey. The 29-year-old became a National Hockey League unrestricted free agent in the 2026 off season after a season as netminder for the Edmonton Oilers. He was acquired by the Oilers from the Utah Mammoth and went 16-10-3 with an .899 save percentage and 2.60 goals-against-average, per TSN. The 6-foot-1 goalie was coming off a three-year, nearly $6-million contract. He was first drafted 88th overall in 2016 by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ingram announced his decision in a short social media post with a caption reading, “Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. Thanks hockey, I owe ya.” With files from TSN
