Edmonton police are looking to identify a man seen with a 42-year-old man and his two children, the three of whom were reported missing last month. Scot MacDermid and his children, six-year-old George and nine-year-old Lesley, were spotted with an unknown man around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 in Lloydminster. Investigators have released photos of the man in the hopes of identifying him. Police say they do not know the travel direction of MacDermid or his children beyond that but believe they may have been seen in Saskatchewan or Manitoba. MacDermid is 5’5” and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. George is about 4’2” and weighs 45 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Lesley is described as being 4’4” tall and weighing about 45 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police previously said MacDermid became unreachable on Aug. 28. An Amber Alert was not issued at the time, Edmonton police said, because the “activation criteria (were) not met.” Anyone with information about the identity of the unknown man or the whereabouts of MacDermid, George or Lesley is asked to call Edmonton police at 780-423-4567.
