It could be a wet Wednesday in southwestern Ontario. Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for areas northeast of Mount Forest, especially Dundalk and Grand Valley, as well as communities between Wasaga Beach and Barrie. “This severe thunderstorm is moving southeast at 30 km/h,” the agency said at 12:30 p.m. “Strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain are possible.” A special weather statement is also in effect for much of southwestern Ontario, from Sarnia to St. Catharines and from Owen Sound to Oshawa. Environment Canada said those communities could get up to 90 km/h winds, toonie-sized hail and heavy rain. The wet weather is expected to ease up by early Wednesday afternoon.
