London police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for two arson incidents targeting a business in the city’s west end last month. Police say the first incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Aug. 23 near Oxford Street West and Westdel Bourne. Investigators allege a man approached the business, ignited a Molotov cocktail and threw it at the front of the building, causing an explosion and property damage. A second arson was reported in the same area around 3 a.m. on Aug. 29. Police believe the same suspect was involved in both incidents. Officers responded to each call and searched the area, but the suspect was not located. Investigators have obtained surveillance video and are releasing images of the suspect in hopes that someone can identify him. Police say that during the Aug. 23 incident, the suspect was wearing a black tracksuit, black shoes and a red-and-white brimmed hat. During the Aug. 29 incident, the suspect was described as wearing a grey tracksuit, grey slide sandals and black socks. Anyone with information is asked to contact the London Police Service or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
