Winnipeg police say a road closure will be in effect for a section of West Broadway following a police pursuit and a “serious incident” Friday afternoon. According to police, the incident occurred in the area of Young Street and Broadway. “The incident has concluded; however, injuries have been reported, and the scene remains secured for further investigation,” a release from police posted on social media reads. Two damaged vehicles can be seen in the area. Police say Broadway between Furby Street and Young Street will be closed until further notice while the investigation is ongoing. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Police said more information will be released once it becomes available.
