The London Knights used a four-goal second period to defeat the Windsor Spitfires 6-2 on Sunday, completing a weekend sweep of their Western Conference rivals. London broke open a close game with four unanswered goals in the middle frame and never looked back en route to its second consecutive victory over Windsor. Evan Van Gorp led the Knights offensively with two goals and an assist for a three-point performance. Eloan Le Gallic, Cooper McAslan, Thomas Zocco and Jake Ritson each added a goal and an assist. Brian Cooke turned aside 28 shots to earn his first Ontario Hockey League victory. After the teams traded chances early, London seized control in the second period, building a multi-goal lead that Windsor could not overcome. Bogdan Yakushevsky scored his second goal of the season for the Spitfires and added an assist in the loss. The Knights had six different players finding the scoresheet and several contributing multiple points. The win capped a successful opening weekend for the Knights, who outscored Windsor over back-to-back games.
