A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged home invasion followed by a sexual assault that occurred at 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 12 in Longueuil on Montreal’s South Shore. Kevon John McAnuff was apprehended by Longueuil police (SPAL) on Sept. 13 and appeared in court on Sept. 22 to face charges of sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, breaking and entering into a residential home, disguising oneself for criminal purposes and making threats. “Investigative efforts also enabled police to link the suspect to another similar incident on Aug. 3, 2026,” the SPAL said. McAnuff is expected to remain in custody pending further legal proceedings. “The two incidents currently linked to the suspect involve victims of different ages: a woman in her 20s and a woman in her 60s,” police note. “The SPAL is urging anyone who may have been a victim of this man or who has relevant information to contact the investigators.” McAnuff is described as 1.78 m (5′10″) tall and weighing 70 kg (154 lb). He has a slim build, a distinctive gait and certain “speech characteristics”; police did not elaborate on what these were, only saying potential victims would understand what this means. He is a smoker and speaks English.
