A youth is facing charges after allegedly threatening a school on Muscowpetung First Nation. Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP officers responded to the school on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at around 3:50 p.m. after receiving a report of an individual making threatening comments against the school. Officers found the suspect who allegedly made threats towards the school, other individuals and responding officers after police arrived at the scene. According to RCMP, the youth, who cannot be identified per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, threw rocks at police vehicles and resisted arrest before he was arrested. As a result of the incident the youth faces five counts of uttering threats, one count of resisting a peace officer and two counts of mischief under $5,000. The accused made his first appearance on Wednesday.
