Firefighters from four stations were kept busy with a late afternoon house fire on Kraft Creek Road in Timmins on Wednesday. “At approximately 4:38 p.m., the Timmins Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residence on Kraft Creek Road. Crews from Stations 1, 3, 4, and 5 were dispatched to the scene,” the city said in a news release Sept. 23 “Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze using tankers to shuttle the water from a supply established at Timmins Pentecostal Church.” “The home is considered a total loss and the incident is not considered suspicious.” No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. A dog suffered minor injuries and was taken to a veterinarian for care, the city said.
