Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a pickup truck towing a trailer was abandoned in East Ferris this week after it hit and damaged a guardrail. The incident took place on Lake Nosbonsing Road in East Ferris Township and was reported to police around 8 a.m. July 22. “A flatbed trailer … had become detached from a pickup truck while travelling westbound on Lake Nosbonsing Road near a railway crossing,” the OPP said in a news release. “The trailer struck and damaged several sections of guardrail before coming to rest on the shoulder of the roadway. The driver of the towing vehicle reportedly continued driving and did not remain at the scene.” Witnesses told police the trailer was being towed by a black Ford pickup truck, but no licence plate information was obtained.
