Ottawa police say a 33-year-old man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Colonel By Drive early on Saturday. According to a news release from police, the collision occurred at 2:35 a.m. on Colonel By Drive south of Rideau Street. On Saturday morning, police tape could be seen around a portion of the southbound lane of Colonel By Drive between the Mackenzie King Bridge and Rideau Street. A section of the Rideau Canal pathway was also taped off. The Ottawa Police Service is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have relevant dashcam footage to contact the Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222 ext: 2345.
