Ontario Provincial Police say a 41-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash late Wednesday night in the Tweed area. Officers were called to the scene of the crash on Rapids Road between Martin Road and Marrisett Road at around 11:50 p.m. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a Foxboro man, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The investigation by Central Hastings OPP remains ongoing, with assistance from collision reconstructionists and technical collision investigators from the OPP. Rapids Road was closed overnight but has since reopened. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam or surveillance footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the Central Hastings OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
