Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say divers conducted an evidence search this week on Calabogie Lake in connection with an unsolved homicide investigation in Renfrew. Jonathan Logan, 41, was fatally shot at his home on Vimy Boulevard on May 19, 2023. Police believe Logan was “deliberately targeted.” No arrests have been made in connection to his death. In a post to social media on Saturday, OPP say an evidence search began on Tuesday and has since concluded. “The OPP thank the public for their patience during this phase of the active and ongoing investigation,” OPP say. No other information about the investigation was released. Calabogie Lake is located about 30 kilometres south of where Logan was killed. Police have ramped up calls for public tips related to Logan’s death in recent months, including offering a $50,000 reward for information and installing a large billboard off Highway 60 facing Renfrew. Logan’s mother also released a video in May calling for witnesses to come forward and to tell police what they know. The OPP say anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Renfrew OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
