Loon Lake conservation officers are looking for those responsible for leaving two northern pike to waste. According to a social media post by Sasktip, officers responded to a July 12 report about the fish being left in a disposal bin in a fillet shack at the Summer RV Resort on Ministikwan Lake, west of Loon Lake. “Officers found that both fish only had parts of the tail fillets removed, leaving the rest of the edible meat to waste,” the post read. “It is unlawful to waste any edible meat that is fit for human consumption from any fish.” A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for anyone who has information about the incident. Those with information are asked to call the TIPP line. Loon Lake is about 60 kilometres west of Meadow Lake.
