Two Saskatchewan cheerleading teams have once again made it to the final round at The Summit Championship in Orlando, Fla. The prestigious competition is for athletes in non-Worlds divisions to take on the best cheerleaders around the globe. On Thursday afternoon, Showdown, the U16 level three team from Rebels Cheerleading Athletics, delivered a flawless performance with zero deductions in the semi-final round to land them in fourth place heading into Friday’s final. Only 15 out of 36 teams advanced. After another hit zero run on Friday morning, they ended up in a three-way tie for fourth place. This is the third time Showdown has made it to finals since 2023. That year they finished sixth out of 31 teams, and first in Canada. In 2025 they placed tenth out of a field of 44. Boss Athletics’ Vogue also competed in the same category, placing 18th overall, and third in Canada. They made their first appearance at The Summit last year, where they came in 24th overall, and second in Canada. Thursday evening, Rebels’ U18 level four team, Revolution, also advanced to the final after another hit zero run. They were sitting in sixth out of 18 teams, with only 11 making it to the final round on Friday. Last year they placed sixth out of 12 teams. On Friday, the team finished in 10th place. Boss’ Hollywood also hit zero, landing them in 13th place overall in the same category, and fourth out of six Canadian teams. Last year Hollywood made it to finals in their first appearance at The Summit. They finished eighth overall and first in Canada. RELATED STORIES:
