A man wanted in connection with a homicide in Lloydminster, Alta, has been arrested in Saskatchewan. In a news release sent Thursday afternoon, Saskatchewan RCMP said Randy Lysohirka, 40, was arrested in a home outside Maidstone on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Alberta RCMP sent a release asking for help from people in Saskatchewan in locating the suspect, who was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Lloydminster, Alta. that happened on Sept. 21. Police were called to a report of shots fired on 50 Avenue near 47 Street at about 11:09 a.m. A man later died at the scene. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Nolan Whitestone of Lloydminster. Following an investigation, Alberta RCMP charged Lysohirka with second-degree murder and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Maidstone is located about 57 kilometres east of Lloydminster in west-central Saskatchewan.
