An ongoing investigation has led to an increased police presence north of Pelican Narrows. Saskatchewan RCMP reported the presence Monday morning. As of 9 a.m. Highway 135 is closed between the communities of Pelican Narrows and Sandy Bay. Residents are asked to avoid the areas where police are present and to follow the directions of officers on the ground. “We will provide an update on this investigation as soon as we are able,” RCMP said in the update. “If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.”
