Essex County OPP say a 36-year-old Essex man has been charged after a crash. On Sunday at 12:27 p.m., officers investigated a two-vehicle collision on South Malden Road near Gesto Side Road in Essex. The 36-year-old driver had non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences, Liquor Licence Control Act and Highway Traffic Act offences: A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on November 3, 2026, to answer to the charges.
