The Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS) has arrested a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection to a 2023 homicide. In a media news release Friday, the SMS says it arrested David Faucher at a business in Prince Albert. The Quebec man was wanted by RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador on a Canada-wide warrant for first degree murder. RCMP had asked for the public’s help locating Faucher in June and August. Following an investigation with information received from the public, SMS members tracked Faucher to the Prince Albert business. “This apprehension demonstrates the SMS mandate to locate prolific offenders and individuals wanted for serious offences, and return them to the court process,” the release said. The SMS says no further information will be released, as the matter is now before the courts.
