The work week will end on a high note with warm and bright weather in the forecast for Toronto on Friday. Environment Canada is calling for sunshine and a high of 28 C today. “It will generally be a beautiful kick off to the weekend. However, the threat of a few isolated pop-up showers for Friday afternoon seems to have reappeared on the models,” CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said Friday. “Most of the better energy for the development of wet weather continues to be on the east side of the GTA and eastward.” Sunny skies will also dominate the forecast on Saturday, which is expected to see high of 24 C. The national weather agency says Toronto will see a similar daytime high on Sunday, but rain may put on damper on plans throughout the day. Showers could persist on Monday, which will see a high of 26 C.
