Reported gunfire in Vancouver’s False Creek on Sunday evening led to four arrests and the search and seizure of a boat called Night Shadow, along with weapons and various drugs, police announced Tuesday. The Vancouver Police Department explained that it was notified that someone on the boat may have fired a gun with a suppressor into the water. In response, at around 6 p.m., officers from the VPD and an emergency response team boarded the vessel, where police said four people were found and arrested. In a release, the VPD said the Night Shadow was then towed to a secure location, where it was searched after a warrant was obtained. “Police located a chrome handgun, multiple gun parts, and a large extended magazine, as well as several suppressors,” Vancouver police stated. “Also seized were several baggies of suspected crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl, and large bags of cutting agents, dyes, scales, and drug cooking utensils.” The VPD said charges are pending and their investigation remains ongoing.
