Mounties in Langley are looking to speak to the people who were inside two vehicles seen on surveillance video near the scene of a home invasion and shooting late last month. The incident occurred just after midnight on Sept. 28 at a home in the 3000 block of 205 Street, Langley RCMP said in a news release Wednesday. One person was taken to hospital after the shooting, which police described at the time as “targeted” and an isolated incident. Police have not shared any identifying information about the victim, such as age or gender. “Following the incident, officers from the Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit launched an investigation to determine what happened leading up to the events,” police said in their release Wednesday. Investigators have since found surveillance video showing a white SUV and a grey SUV in the area around the time of the shooting. “Police believe the occupants of these vehicles may be witnesses to the incident,” the release reads. A still from the video, in which both vehicles can be seen, was included with the Langley RCMP release. “We are asking the driver and occupants of the white SUV and grey SUV to come forward and speak with investigators,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, in the release. “We are also asking anyone who may recognize the two vehicles, or who has any information about it, to come forward. Their information could be essential in advancing the investigation.” Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam video from the area should call Langley RCMP and quote file number 2026-31003, police said. The Langley RCMP non-emergency phone number is 604-532-3200.
