Mounties in Prince George, B.C., say they arrested a 22-year-old woman, but “several suspects remain outstanding” after an assault with a weapon and a fight between several people in the city over the weekend. The incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of George Street, Prince George RCMP said in a statement Wednesday. The detachment said witnesses reported a fight had broken out between several people, during which one man “was assaulted with a weapon, as well as being physically assaulted by those in the fight.” Police did not say what kind of weapon was used, nor the severity of the man’s injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment. “Investigators were able to locate one of the suspects, a 22-year-old woman, a short distance away; however, several suspects remain outstanding,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, in the statement. “We are asking the public for any information that may assist us in identifying and locating the suspects in this incident.” Police asked anyone who witnessed the fight and has not yet spoken with investigators to call the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 and quote file number 2026-34798. Mounties are also asking anyone who has video of the incident to contact them.
