Police in Victoria are asking the public to help identify a suspect after an alleged assault Sunday in a city park. The Victoria Police Department says the assault occurred near the duck pond and the petting zoo in Beacon Hill Park at approximately 4:50 p.m. Police did not provide details about the incident, including whether the suspect and victim were known to each other or whether the victim sustained any injuries. The department did not immediately respond to a request for more information about the incident. This story will be updated if a response is received. A statement on Monday said investigators were asking anyone with information related to the investigation to come forward. Police described the suspect as a “tan-skinned male,” believed to be in his 40s. He stands between 5’11” and 6’ tall with a large build and balding grey hair. Police said he has tattoos on the right side of his neck and his right cheek. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a silver chain at the time of the incident.
