A 48-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly threatening several youth outside of a community centre over the weekend. On Saturday at approximately 3 p.m., Winnipeg police were called to reported threats at a community centre on Warnock Street. Police allege a 48-year-old man approached several youth outside the centre and made threatening gestures towards them. The youths went inside the centre and reported the incident to a staff member. The staff member went outside to speak with the suspect, who allegedly continued with his threatening behaviour. Police located the man in the 1200 block of Logan Avenue later in the afternoon and arrested him. The suspect was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and was detained in custody. None of the charges have been proven in court.
