Three teenage girls were arrested after police say three people were injured in an attack at The Forks involving machetes on Halloween. Officers were called to a reported aggravated assault shortly after midnight on The Forks grounds. When they arrived, two 17-year-old girls and a 25-year-old man were found injured. They were taken to hospital, where they were upgraded to stable condition. Police began investigating and three suspects were found in the back of a taxicab near Portage Avenue and Fort Street a short time later. They were arrested without incident. Police allege the victims and suspects were involved in a fight at The Forks, and the victims were attacked with a machete. Two 14-year-old girls and one 15-year-old girl are each facing charges of aggravated assault. They were released on undertakings. None of the charges have been proven in court.
