50-year-old inmate found dead in Saint John correctional centre

A 50-year-old inmate was found dead in the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre last week.

Pierre Dartiguenave, who had been remanded into custody, was found unresponsive in his cell on Oct. 7, according to a news release from the provincial government.

Dartiguenave went to the Saint John Regional Hospital and died on Oct. 10.

Police and coroner services have been advised.
