The reservoir in Moncton’s Irishtown Nature Park is closed to recreation. The City of Moncton issued a notice Tuesday advising residents that cyanobacteria was found during routine testing. The reservoir is closed to recreational use, including kayaking and canoeing, until further notice. The city is also asking pet owners to keep their dogs out of the water. “Notices and signage have been posted. The City of Moncton will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any updates as conditions change,” reads a news release from the city.
