A missing 82-year-old man who was the subject of an emergency alert in the Pictou County area Monday night has been found safe following a search. The alert described him as “vulnerable” and sought help from the public in finding him. He was last seen leaving the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow, N.S., Monday night. Local police said in a news release Tuesday night that the man was found around the Pioneer Trail and transported back to hospital by EHS. New Glasgow Police credit volunteer search and rescue teams, RCMP police dog services, EHS, and participating provincial departments, for helping locate the man. “A special thank you is also extended to the public and the media for sharing information, providing tips, and helping circulate social media posts,” reads the news release.
