The Nova Scotia RCMP used a tracking device to find and recover a stolen truck in Porters Lake last week. Police responded to the reported theft of a Ford F150 from a driveway on Robinson Road in Lawrencetown around 10:45 p.m. on Sept. 23. They learned the vehicle had a tracking device, which showed a location near Cheviot Hills Street in Porters Lake, according to an RCMP news release. Police tried to catch the truck, but it allegedly refused to stop. They then used a tire deflation device on it before it continued onto Karen Crescent, where it was later found abandoned. Officers searched the area and found a 24-year-old woman from Middle Sackville in possession of items stolen from the truck. The unnamed woman was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
