A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in South Vancouver early Monday morning, according to authorities. The Vancouver Police Department said the fatal incident took place at Granville Street and West 52nd Avenue at approximately 1:10 a.m. The victim, a 27-year-old man, was crossing the street when he was struck by a Toyota Sienna minivan, police said, adding he was treated at the scene and later died in hospital. “The driver remained at the scene and is co-operating with the investigation,” the VPD wrote in a statement. The VPD asked anyone with CCTV or dash-camera video from the area to call the Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012 or email vpdciu@vpd.ca.
