Fans of the popular “This Summer Will be Different” can now enjoy views on Prince Edward Island that were featured in the novel. Tourism PEI, working with author Carley Fortune, has unveiled benches inspired by the book at Basin Head Provincial Park and Point Prim Lighthouse in what they call “literary tourism.” Further benches will be revealed along western P.E.I. in the coming months, according to a news release from the provincial government. “I’m so honoured This Summer Will Be Different is now part of the Prince Edward Island landscape thanks to these stunning benches,” Fortune said in the release. “The Island has been an inspiration to me since I first visited, and I hope these benches give others a place to pause and reflect on their own journey to this magical place.” The book, which follows a woman who falls in love during a visit to P.E.I., is currently being adapted into a 10-episode series for Netflix.
