Provincial police are turning to the public for their help in the hunt for the stolen boat. Kawartha Lakes OPP say the boat in question was stolen sometime between 11 p.m. on June 31 and 6 a.m. on Canada Day. Police are on the lookout for a 2023 Starcraft LX18R pontoon boat that was stolen from a private residential dock on Balsam Lake Drive in Kirkfield. The boat is described as beige and black, with the Ontario license number ON8773213 and hull identification number STRB3149A323. Police are asking residents, boaters, marina operators and members of the public to reach out to them if the boat is spotted.
