Elgin County OPP are investigating a sudden death on Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit, also known as Delaware Nation at Moraviantown. On July 25, just before midnight, OPP were called with a report of a person being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, before they were later pronounced dead. Investigators think the 33-year-old from Chatham may have sustained the injuries after an incident on River Line in Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit. Investigators are working to find out what happened and are calling for anyone with information to come forward. Residents, businesses, and anyone who was near River Line on July 25 is asked to review surveillance and dash cam footage.
