Barrie Fire and Emergency responded to an early morning fire just before 8:40 a.m. Sunday morning. Five trucks as well as a platoon chief responded to the call. According to Barrie Fire, four people were transferred to hospital. The building that sustained the blaze was a multi unit residential for vulnerable people. Displaced residents have been temporarily housed. Barrie Police are currently holding the scene as the fire remains under investigation. The OFM has been notified.
