Municipal, provincial and federal offices are all closed. Barrie Transit is running on a Sunday service schedule on Monday. There are no Simcoe County LINX buses running. GO Transit is running on a Saturday schedule. Curbside collection will go ahead as usual, as there is no change. If you’re looking to head downtown, parking is free on statutory holidays, including Labour Day. Residents are reminded to ensure their vehicle is registered with a digital waterfront parking permit. The City is reminding residents that fireworks are not permitted on Labour Day. City lifeguards are now finished for the season, so caregivers are being reminded to keep a close eye on their children when at the beach. Public libraries and liquor stores are closed.
