Southern Alberta experienced a very typical June weekend, complete with rain and scattered thunderstorms. June is typically the wettest month of the year in Calgary, with just over 25 per cent of the annual moisture falling over those 30 days. This week will include more rain, with a system expected to move through starting Tuesday and continuing into Thursday. There is a chance of scattered thunderstorms all three days, but if they do form, they will likely be scattered and fast-moving rather than organized supercells. Precipitation totals in Calgary could be as high as 25 millimetres or as low as 10 millimetres. Some weather models are suggesting portions of southern Alberta will see higher accumulations, including the corridor from south Calgary to south of Lethbridge. Both the daytime highs and lows will be seasonal on Monday before dropping down on Tuesday. The rest of the week will include more cloud and stronger wind as well as those unsettled conditions. The weekend will bring more sunshine and warmer temperatures with highs in the low 20s starting Sunday.
