Calgary police say a crash on Deerfoot Trail is expected to cause “significant delays” for quite some time. The single-vehicle collision happened in the northbound lanes near 17 Avenue S.E. just before 11:30 a.m. Friday. Police say it appears a truck struck the centre concrete median. “Due to damage to the concrete centre median, the far-left passing lanes on both northbound and southbound Deerfoot Trail between Memorial Drive and 17 Avenue S.E. will be closed for much of the day,” police said. The closure is anticipated to create major slow downs. No one was injured in the incident, police say.
