Actor Hank Azaria knows his “crazy hobby” performing a Bruce Springsteen tribute show is on the right track. He has an endorsement from the Boss himself. “We have a mutual friend who’s a dentist. One day my friend sent me a video. I’m like, ‘Why is my friend sending me a video of himself from work?’ Camera pans over; it’s Bruce in his dentist chair saying, ‘I’m sitting here with a terrible toothache, but while I have a terrible toothache, I was fabulously entertained by your version of Prove It All Night.’ So, that literally made my life,” Azaria told CTV News. Azaria says he’s looking forward to his gig in Calgary with the EZ Street Band. He only passed through the city on his way to Canmore, where he and Russell Crowe shot the 1999 film Mystery, Alaska. “I remember being very cold. I remember flying into Calgary, and the flight attendant—we called them stewardesses back then; we don’t do that anymore—said, ‘We’ll be landing in Calgary in about half an hour. The temperature on the ground is a cool negative 27.’ And I got up out of my chair and I said, ‘I’m sorry, were you just joking?’” Azaria said.
