The heat from the Calgary Stampede’s concert series has only just started to cool off, but officials have already announced one of the acts coming next year. On July 8, 2027, Grammy Award-winning Greta Van Fleet will play at the Scotiabank Saddledome as part of the Stampede Concert Series. Greta Van Fleet’s Calgary stop will be one of 59 other cities the band will be performing at for their Into the Beginning tour. The group, consisting of brothers Josh Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (guitar) and Sam Kiszka (bass/keyboards), alongside drummer Danny Wagner, shot to prominence when their debut single Highway Tune topped the charts for four weeks and then went on to sell more than 3.5 million records and win a Grammy for Best Rock Album for From the Fires. Officials say this is the first of many concert announcements for the annual celebration of Western culture and fun. “The Stampede continues to strengthen Calgary’s reputation as The Greatest Music Festival in the West, bringing the entire city together through unforgettable experiences,” said Meghan Kvisto, vice-president of sales, marketing and programming with the Calgary Stampede. Tickets for Greta Van Fleet go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Oct. 15 while Stampede insiders can purchase tickets a day earlier. Since it is a Calgary Stampede event, prices include admission to the park on the day of the concert.
