A Leduc man pleaded guilty to seven charges before a Court of King’s Bench Justice on Thursday. The charges include child luring, making sex abuse material, sexual interference and obtaining sexual services for consideration from someone under 18. Campbell Fergusson, 51, was charged in June 2025 after an investigation by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) internet child exploitation unit. ALERT began looking into Fergusson after receiving an online tip and had dozens of victims come forward. Investigators at the time alleged Fergusson was targeting girls between the ages of 15 and 16 in the Leduc and Greater Edmonton area using social media and would lure them into meeting him in person for sex. Fergusson was also a volunteer with the Leduc and County Basketball Association but was immediately removed from all roles and responsibilities when his arrest was first made public. Fergusson has a court appearance scheduled next month.
