The city says it is working to repair 20 streetlights in the Bellevue neighbourhood after they were vandalized and stripped of copper. The copper wire theft was reported to 311 late last month. “Due to the severity of the damage and complexity of repairs, more time is required than is typical for outage repairs,” said a statement from the city Thursday. Repairs are expected to be complete by the end of next week pending unforeseen issues or weather delays.
