Donnie Wahlberg said on social media that he is OK after his private jet skidded off a runway in Las Vegas and hit a perimeter fence during a planned takeoff. The American actor and brother of Mark Wahlberg shared a video to Instagram on Sunday, hours after the incident occurred. “God is good,” he said in the video. Officials on Sunday reported that a private jet went off the end of a runway at Harry Reid International Airport. The mishap occurred at 11 a.m. local time, according to an airport spokesperson. She didn’t say what caused the plane, a Dassault Falcon 50, to go off the runway. Officials also did not say if Wahlberg was involved. Wahlberg described the incident as “a rather intense few moments” in the caption of his post, adding that he was on the plane with his “team/friends.” “We’re taking off and didn’t get up in the air and ran out of runway,” he said in the video. He credited the pilots with saving their lives. “I’m not sure how many fences we avoided, but we didn’t avoid the last one,” he said, pointing to a tall fence in the distance. “But we avoided those trucks and heavy equipment and the dumpsters behind that,” he added. Wahlberg appeared to be filming the video in an area near where the incident had occurred. “We just finished praying and I looked out the window and said we are not getting up in the air today,” he said. “But we are safe and thankful and all is well.” Two runways were closed for inspection after the incident and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration temporarily paused planned flights to the airport, causing delays.
