Tony Bitonti has the cheque already made up, he just needs to fill in the name of the ticket holder of a $40 million LottoMax prize, that could expire if not claimed soon. “We’ve been waiting. Almost a year. It’s going to be a year in a little less than 24 hours that we’ve been waiting for this $40 million ticket holder to come forward,” said Bitonti, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s Media Relations Coordinator. “And what I can tell you, and this is the sad part, is that this ticket has not even been checked yet. Not been checked on our OLG app, not at our retailer.” The $40 million ticket was bought somewhere in Grey County for the Oct. 28, 2025, draw. The winning numbers are 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43, 43, with bonus number 27. “So, OLG has every piece of information about this ticket, except one critical piece of information. Exactly who the owner is, Bitonti added. “But we know exactly where it was purchased. When it was purchased, what else it was purchased with. Was there an encore? Did they also buy a 6/49 ticket or a Pro Line ticket? We have all that information. We just need the ticket holder to come forward. And even if they’ve lost the ticket, to come forward with that information and we’ll do some due diligence, we’ll make sure that they are the rightful owner and then hopefully we can pay them $40 million.” 60 people have already claimed they have the winning ticket, but Bitonti says all the information hasn’t added up yet, so they are still searching. If the winner doesn’t come forward before midnight on Oct. 28, the $40 million goes back into the prize pool. “Listen, $40 million is a lot of money. That’s life-changing amounts of money. And it’s not our money. It’s not OLG’s money,” Bitonti said. “It is somebody that paid five or $10 for a ticket at a $40 million jackpot, and won the jackpot and hasn’t come forward to claim it. So where is this person? That’s the $40 million question, and I hope to fill in the name on this cheque, very soon.” If you believe you purchased this winning LOTTO MAX ticket, you can go to the OLG.ca Unclaimed Tickets page to fill in your information to start the claim or contact OLG at 1-800-387-0098.
