London Police are releasing new information in their search for 19-year-old Cole Rioux, who was reported missing by his family. Rioux was last seen at about 3:40 a.m. on Aug. 27 in the area of High Street and Moore Street. On Monday, family and friends were gathered at the family’s home as his mother Martha Rioux spoke to CTV News. “I last saw him on Friday morning, when he was on his way to work. We gave each other great big long hugs and he left,” she explaied. “He left the house in a very big hurry. He didn’t have his phone on him, (then) he didn’t show up to work, which is very unlike him.” On Tuesday, London Police provided additional details about the car Cole could be driving. “Cole is believed to be driving a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta with Ontario license plate AVXM 279,” a news release reads. Cole’s mother describes some of the car’s distinctive features, “It’s a very old, black, 2001 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8 turbo. He has customized the front grille so you don’t see a Volkswagen emblem at the front of the car. It also has a very customized exhaust. It’s got a distinctive sound if you hear it driving. Its loud.” Martha says her son was excited about his welding job, so his family became alarmed when he didn’t show up for his shift on Friday. Fighting back tears, she has a message for her son, “We just want him to know that we’re all here for him. We love him. We just want to know that he’s okay.” Cole is described as male, Caucasian, approximately 5-foot-8, 155 pounds, with a slim build, blue eyes, and light brown buzz cut hair.
