The London Knights failed to complete a comeback Wednesday night, falling to the Flint Firebirds 3-2 in Michigan. London fell behind on a pair of first period goals. Brody Cook scored his first career OHL goal in second period though, bringing them back within one. Flint managed to retore their two goal advantage before the second intermission though. Andoni Fimis found the back of the net for London midway through the third period, but that was a close as the Knights could get. Before Wednesday’s loss, London had won seven of their past ten games, climbing closer to the top of the OHL standings. “Over the last couple games we’ve got some wins and we’re just going to keep building and keep playing out way,” said captain Sam O’Reilly. “I think there’s been a lot of turnover since last year,” said Knights defenseman Jared Woolley. “We’re slowly but surely finding our way and I think it’s working.” London’s next game is Friday night when they host the Owen Sound Attack at Canada Life Place.
