Unseasonably warm temperatures are expected across the region Tuesday, with a high of 21 C before cooler conditions move in later this week, according to CTV News meteorologist Julie Atchison. The day will start with some cloud cover before skies clear and sunshine returns in the afternoon. South winds are expected to pick up to 20 km/h, with gusts reaching 40 km/h around noon. The mild weather will continue Wednesday, with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 21 C. The chance of rain increases to 60 per cent Wednesday night as a cold front moves through. Temperatures will drop to 16 C Thursday, with another chance of showers Friday. Cooler conditions are expected over the weekend, with daytime highs around 8 C. Atchison says the region will hold on to the warmer temperatures through the workweek before cooler air settles in for the weekend.
